After much speculation, Apple have confirmed that an October 23rd media event is going ahead by sending out invites to the event with the tag line, “We’ve got a little more to show you”.

As to what exactly will be announced at the event still remains a mystery, but it is expected that the long-rumoured iPad mini will be finally unveiled, alongside the 13 inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display and updated iMacs.
