There has been much speculation regarding the price of Apple’s upcoming iPad mini, although all rumors surrounding it have been quashed, with European prices of the device leaked on the internet.
The iPad mini will come in a variety of models, all available in either black or white. The entry level iPad mini will have 8GB of storage, on par with its Android competition.
While many have been saying that an LTE version of the iPad mini was not in the works, it seems that it actually is, with cellular models starting at $549.
The list of models and prices come from a German weblog, detailing the entire lineup for this new device:
- 8GB iPad mini Wi-Fi in Black – $249 / €249
- 8GB iPad mini Wi-Fi in White – $249 / €249
- 16GB iPad mini Wi-Fi in Black – $349 / €349
- 16GB iPad mini Wi-Fi in White – $349 / €349
- 32GB iPad mini Wi-Fi in Black – $449 / €449
- 32GB iPad mini Wi-Fi in White – $449 / €449
- 64GB iPad mini Wi-Fi in Black – $549 / €549
- 64GB iPad mini Wi-Fi in White – $549 / €549
- 32GB iPad mini Wi-Fi + Cellular in Black – $549 / €549
- 32GB iPad mini Wi-Fi + Cellular in White- $549 / €549
- 64GB iPad mini Wi-Fi + Cellular in Black – $649 / €649
- 64GB iPad mini Wi-Fi + Cellular in White- $649 / €649
These prices seem quite reasonable, and considering the competition Apple will face in the 7-inch tablet market, we can expect these to sell in massive numbers.
Although the top level model is approximately $649, it does include LTE and a 64GB processor. While this is venturing into the 10-inch iPad’s territory, the mini will be much more featured, and if you don’t mind the smaller screen, then it could be a great deal.
Apple is expected to release the iPad mini on October 23rd, with shipping likely to occur in november.
